We're closed!

Dear Friends of Daarukhana,

Due to the protests in Hong Kong since the beginning of June 2019, business has been badly affected resulting in our restaurant remaining closed for over 15 different days, leading to a huge loss in revenue.

The management has therefore decided to shut down Daarukhana with effect from 1st September 2019.

Thank you for your patronage.

More about us

Daarukhana is an area in Mumbai (Bombay), popularly known for its ship breaking industry, was named for the gunpowder industry in the area centuries ago. Back in the 19th century, the area was purely industrial, while its surrounding areas of Mazgaon and Byculla were home to the elite.

In Hindi, Daaru literally means alcohol and Khana is food. Here at Daarukhana, drinks and food come together to form a wonderful synergy.

We’ve used the name to signal a bold mix of east and west in a dramatically new format.
